Again in Bequia, two boats got robbed, nobody on board. The incident happened on Saturday 22nd October 2011, between 5 pm and 9 pm, shortly after sunset when we were at happy hour.
At one boat (St. Vincent flag), they just took a camera and a mobile and a small amount of money – less than 100 USD.
On my boat they came in through a small hatch in the bathroom… must have been a kid! They took two iPods, my dive computer, an old Nokia mobile (but with my German sim with all my contacts) and also a camera and a small amount of money. Something like 100usd which was on my nav table.
They are not really searching for stuff, did not take my tablet PC and other computers.. very odd, but still a bad thing. We notified the local police.
We were anchored in front of the old plantation house, 100mts from the shore (close to Dive Adventure & the Fig Tree Restaurant), close to 4 other boats.
You may remember, nearly two years ago, I got robbed by a gunman here in Bequia too (onshore), so it is not really a good place for me.
Please inform other sailors, they should close all!!! hatches.

Same happened to us. We are anchored about 100 yards NW of him, the tablet was not stolen, only an iPod and a ziplock bag. This occurred 2nd November. “e have been here for 20 years and the whole island is rather surprised that this happened to us. I was not on board, was waiting for a little rain cloud to pass, got back to the yacht at about 7.15 pm. So I might have almost caught him in the act. Also, a switch was turned on that looks like he attempted to start the engines.
