We left our yacht at the Eden Island Marina, Seychelles for two months while we were back in the US.

Our yacht was moored on the north side of the marina (med-mooring) and we had been there for 3 weeks prior to our departure. We had other yachties keep an eye on it for us while we were away, they walked past every day.

When we returned we found it had been broken into. The main companionway hatch had been forced open.

There was minimal damage to the boat, but the thief had stolen cameras, lenses, cash, liquor, etc.

The police were quick to investigate and take a report.
