Further to the comment from my colleague, Gautama Dutta (see noonsite report here), I can report that Marina India is now well established and based in Mumbai (Bombay) at offices only a short distance from the famous Gateway of India.
We are working on a number of projects, including in the crucial tourism region of Goa.
From my 17 years experience as MD of Camper & Nicholsons Marinas Ltd., and as a founding director of Island Global Yachting in Dubai, I can say that marinas are needed in India and they will come. But in this business one needs real technical and development experience, and one needs capital. The Marina India team has the former (27 countries on 4 continents) and has access to the latter, even in today’s harsh investment climate.
