Stolen Items: The robbers took the outboard motor, the computer, the iPhone, money, jewellery etc. They were unhurried.

DETAILS: Yacht was robbed by three armed men in an open launch 15 miles offshore opposite Puerto Cortez, Honduras, while underway Vessels VHF radio was not working. Nobody was physically hurt. Reported to the authorities at Livingston.
CSSN Update: This report came from cruisers who spoke with the victims. On arriving in port, the vessel was immediately hauled out, the crew left the country two days later, so no “horse’s mouth” report is available.
Sources who did talk directly with the owners said that the launch which carried the attackers approached and asked for gasoline. When the launch came alongside, the three men jumped aboard, with a gun, and proceeded to quickly take all the items mentioned – phones, computers, jewelry, cash, etc. They were not interested in removing any marine electronics.
There were four people aboard the sailboat – the owners and a couple of friends.
