STOLEN ITEMS:  Highfield dinghy / 18hp NS Marine outboard (recovered minus fuel tank)

DETAILS:

A dinghy locked with steel cable to the Grande Anse dock was stolen while the owners were having dinner nearby. When the owners returned witnesses provided information about the direction the thieves who had cut the cable had gone. The police were called, but were not helpful, the Coast Guard did not answer a VHF 16 call.

The owner and a friend went toward the southern end of the beach where they recovered the dinghy, with it’s well locked engine, but minus the fuel tank which had been locked with the same cable cut by the thieves. There was no damage to the dinghy/outboard.
