Galapagos to Hawaii

We are currently in Panama and planning a March departure for the Galapagos and onward to Hawaii via Clipperton. I notice in your WCR that you suggest November to January as the best months. I am aware of the need to be north of the eastern Pacific hurricane zone by end May which is my plan. Grateful your comment as to the viability of the Galapagos – Hawaii route in April/May.
I don’t think you should have any problems with early hurricanes on the way to Hawaii… and anyway, if you watch the weather and one is predicted you can easily dip SW as most tropical storms swing W and then NW. In 1996 I organized around the world race – the Hong Kong Challenge – and although the route was from Panama to Hawaii, one boat took the longer great circle route (similar to the one once sailed by square riggers)… and was the first to arrive in Hawaii… but they sailed much earlier in the year!
