Egypt: Cruising Permit Regulations at at June 2012 – Correction

Published 12 years ago, updated 6 years ago

It seems that there was some confusion over the regulations regarding the issuing of Cruising Permits for Egypt.

The latest information is:-

1) A boat arriving in Egypt can get a cruising permit for a maximum period of 12 months.

2) If a boat leaves the country for whatever period, then a new Cruising permit is issued on re-entry.

If it required, a permit to cruise the Gulf of Aqaba must be requested at the same time.

That it!

Our thanks to Lo Brust for getting this confirmed by Captain Sherif of Port Ghalib marina.
