Dominican Republic, Luperon: Dinghy Engine Stolen from Yacht
Thieves stole a dinghy’s outboard motor that was locked to the stern rail of a yacht while the owners were ashore, at Luperon in the Dominican Republic.

Owners were not onboard when their 15HP Yamaha was stolen from the stern rail. The thief removed the bolts that held the wooden supports the engine was mounted on/locked to and stole the entire assembly. The theft was reported to the Coast Guard, Port Captain and on the local VHF net.
