Cruising Life: You Know You Are A Cruiser When…
After the first year of cruising is under our belt and we have worked out most of the kinks, I find that I really love this life. However, its quite a different life. We were hanging out in a gorgeous anchorage at Isla Isabella, Mexico, resting from my third snorkle of the day, when I caught up with some women sailor friends online. I found myself chuckling at some of our unique, common daily happenings.

You know you are a cruiser when:
You consider changing the sheets and doing laundry by hand, your day’s workout.
You have no idea what day of the week it is, or was.
At any given moment at least one toe is broken.
Land-lubbers ask, “how can you afford this lifestyle?” and you turn around and ask them the same question.
You find a baby cockroach frozen in the ice cube trays, and you just carry on making the drink.
You come upon land and say, “Oh I need shoes for this?”
The first step in making dinner is taking apart the settee.
You go out to dinner in your “dressy” flip flops.
The weather forecast is the first and last thing you check daily.
You feel like a princess when you put on some lipstick.
The wind and sun is your hair dryer.
Someone asks, “where are you headed to next?” and you say, “I don’t know.”
Someone in the public restroom has left the water running while washing their hands and it’s given you anxiety.
