This book is an amusing insight into Caribbean island life and a very entertaining read. Ideal for those headed to the Caribbean for the first time and wondering just what to expect (this book will give you a great insight) and a great reminder of what makes the Caribbean so unique for those that have already passed through.

George Marshall, divorced for the 3rd time and cut off from his father’s allowance, finds himself holidaying on a Caribbean Island and buying a marina. This is the tale of how he fares and eventually survives.  Author Lynne Hinkey has undoubtedly taken inspiration from some of the characters she met during her years working as a marine scientist in the Caribbean, and we will all relate to at least one of the numerous marina folk that appears in the book.

As the book jacket says; “At times raucous, at times touching, Marina Melee is a fun voyage to the Caribbean Islands where living the easy life is hard work!”
