Brazil, Fortaleza: Assault and Robbery – April 2014
Noonsite received a report from another cruising boat that friends of theirs had been boarded, the crew attacked, beaten and robbed within moments of anchoring in Fortaleza.

The information received is as follows:
We were boarded, attacked, beaten, bloodied, bound & robbed by bandits within moments of anchoring at Fortaleza, Brazil.
I lost quite a few valuables and a bit of blood from numerous knife & machete wounds. They even stole my laundry detergent, thinking it was a big bag of cocaine, I suppose.
We’re all okay now and am sporting several new battle scars which are healing pretty well… but the thugs stabbed my poor inflatable dinghy to death.
