Boating Alert for North Coast

Published 16 years ago, updated 6 years ago

NSW Maritime advises the boating public of the north coast to be alert to swollen creeks, streams, and rivers.

The waterways of most concern are those north of the Nambucca River.

Boat owners should take extra care until conditions return to normal and pay particular attention to debris in any flood affected waterways.

NSW Maritime also says flood waters and debris carried in those waterways can damage navigation markers.

Any information relating to dislodged or damaged navigation markers can be reported to the NSW Maritime Info Line on 13 12 56.
