Cavtat:

This is the preferred port for clearing incoming from the south. One has to tie up at the town quay where the Q sign is posted and lie stern-to an anchor. They will not allow you to clear in by dinghy.

First, visit HM on the quay, they accept only kunas, no Euros or plastic for payment of the vignette (cruising permit), officials are friendly and efficient. Then visit police office over adjacent taverna before returning to your boat. The town quay is generally kept for the larger motor boats, but they will take smaller craft depending on the time of year. Anchor off on the other side of the port in 10 meters, good holding, but a bit open to the north, no charge.  ATM and two banks adjacent to HM office.

Dubrovnik:

No mooring or anchoring in the old port, the ACI Marina up the river to the north of the old city is nice but very expensive @ €130 per night (July 15) for DeDanann (16 meters). A bus runs to the old city from the marina every twenty minutes. A good Marina to have repairs done by on-site engineers. Boats can anchor off the entrance to the Marina for free.

Otok Mljet, Polace:

A well-sheltered anchorage on the NW coast with good holding, several tavernas, mini market etc, nice pontoons for around twelve boats alongside local tavernas, no charge if you eat there, nice forest walks etc, worth a visit.

Korcula, Marina Lumbarda:

A well-sheltered small friendly Marina, water/electricity, @ €40 for DeDanann per night, local tavernas, mini market, good beach etc, bus to the old city, Taxi €12.

ACI Marina in Korcula is nice but expensive and more exposed to bad weather.

Otok Brac, Milna:

Marina Vlasko to port as you enter the harbour is tight for boats over 12 meters and expensive @ €120 for DeDanann per night, better facilities for the same charge at ACI Marina. Boats can anchor off the entrance for free here when a room is available.

Otok scedro, Lovisce:

A grand well-sheltered anchorage in around 5 to 10 meters with a couple of tavernas, take a long line ashore if crowded.

Trogir:

ACI and Trogir marinas are very nice but expensive @ €125 per night (July 15) for DeDanann. Great facilities and close to the old city. Boats can anchor off to the NW of the Marina for free or to the E of the old city.

Rogoznica:

We tied up to the town quay here, charge €90 inc. water and electricity. Very expensive for what it is, better to anchor off south of the Marina for free.

Sibinik:

We tied up to the town quay here, charge €90 for DeDanann per night, no electricity and limited water only available during restricted hours. Plenty of space to anchor off N of here for free.

Skradan, Krka River:

ACI Marina is very nice, charge €108 for DeDanann per night (July 15), plenty of room to anchor off for free close to the town. Get in early before it gets crowded, pilot books say anchoring overnight is not allowed, lots of boats do though with no problem. Water taxi to the waterfalls and national park, great value @ €15 all in, a must-do if in these parts.
