Here is some information about doing a circumnavigation of New Zealand (see detailed cruising notes here).
When we first considered this we looked at Noonsite and read “don’t do it, get a car and drive”. We did that and then wrote to Jimmy and asked what he thought about sailing around New Zealand.
He encouraged us, so this year we did it. It’s a fantastic trip and some of the best remote cruising we have seen. For any cruisers who have enough time to wait for good weather, it’s one of the best.
