Ana Barrasso’s Sal Pa Dentro, an ongoing tribute to our beloved Janso who passed in 2016, opens again March 3, 2018, after major damages due to Hurricane Maria. All cruisers should join in and visit her..give her all our best wishes. She is a trooper!
For more info and to get in touch with Cruisers in Salinas, there is now a Facebook page called: “Salinas PR Cruisers”. As of January 2017, there are 75 members. You will find very resourceful people on this page and most questions are answered within minutes.

We spend a lot of time in Salinas.
You can Rent a car through Enterprise. Currently, they cannot take reservations by a computer, as they are just beginning, but you can call and make a reservation by phone. They do come out to the marina and pick you up, but many times they already have cars at the marina parking lot ready for immediate rental.
When you’re done, park in the spot you got your car and leave the keys at the marina office. Open 0900-1200. This is a great bunch of people doing a good job in an area where it’s really needed. Hertz and Avis are no longer in business.
There are fuel and water available in Salinas now, but water must still be jerry jugged unless you’re used to Med-mooring the boat.
