We sailed to the swan Islands from Grand Cayman, had settled weather for 4 days forcasted and recommend if you can. The Swans are a military base with a dozen enlisted men & 1 officer, you will have to ask for permission to stay, they will write down your passport information and boat documentation, no English was spoken but our Spanish speaker did just fine. We anchored on the west side of the island, there is a concrete dock where the military boat can come in, anchored and 10 ft of sand with good protection The Anchorage to the northwest of the island is not recommended, there was a boreal 44 wrecked on the reef that had anchored there and was bounced off when the winds turned to the Northeast. Fishing was good on the south side limited on the west and North although the coral is superb. We supplied them with fish while there, they asked for cookies, soda and cigarettes. Onto Guanaja

Not really a port of entry as we had to officially check in upon arrival to Guanaja
