Blue Water Cockpit Conversations
In May 2021, our online event Bluewater Cockpit Conversations brought together over 1000 aspiring bluewater cruisers into the cockpit of our virtual cruising yacht, to learn from the experts and be inspired by those who had been there and done it. In June 2022, together with our partners at Berthon International, we will once again be bringing you a fun and insightful series of conversations about all things cruising. Whether you already have your bluewater boat and are looking for advice and support from those who have been live-aboard cruising, or you have a shared dream of sailing into the horizon one day, then joining Bluewater Cockpit Conversations is for you!
Bluewater Cockpit Conversations is free to attend. Register now for the live sessions and receive update emails as playlists of presentations are published on the Bluewater Cockpit Conversations website throughout May.

Europe on the Horizon
With the Caribbean cruising season drawing to a close, the World Cruising team are bound for St. Maarten for the start of ARC Europe, our west to east transatlantic rally. This year’s international fleet of over 30 yachts features plenty of familiar faces with previous ARC+, ARC and World ARC participants and some new cruisers from the USA bound for Europe for the first time.
The six-week rally is much more than a delivery trip, with a stopover in Bermuda coinciding with the SAIL GP event and cruise through the varied islands of the Azores. The final leg of the rally will see yachts head to Marina de Lagos, Portugal – an ideal gateway to the Algarve and Mediterranean – or alternatively rally support and weather routing is available for yachts returning to other ports in northern Europe. The fleet left St. Maarten on Saturday 7 May with the latest news and fleet tracking available on the ARC Europe website.

Join Us for ARC January
It’s a full house on our November Atlantic-crossing rallies, ARC+ and ARC, this year with the waitlist now closed to new entries. Places are still available to join ARC January, departing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Sunday 15 January. The later departure date gives skippers more time to get boats ready and in position, especially useful for new boats, and is a useful option for those wishing to spend Christmas in Europe before the crossing. Limited to 50 boats, the rally will have an intimate and fun family-feel, and the promise of established tradewinds for a great sail to Saint Lucia.

World ARC Ready to Sail Again
Two years on from the impact of island nations closing their borders, there is more excitement than ever to get started (or re-started!) on the ultimate adventure with World ARC. We are continually reviewing the opportunities for a fleet departure from Darwin in September 2022 to sail to the Caribbean via South Africa and Brazil, and will be updating entrants soon. Any skippers wanting to join this start who are not already registered should contact WCC to join the updates list.
In 2023, there will be two starts from Saint Lucia, with the circumnavigators setting off in January and the Pacific explorers following on six weeks later.
Look out for the launch of World ARC 2024 which is due to open in May this year. Interest is likely to be strong again, make sure you register your interest and we will send you the information pack as soon as it is published.
