The RYA and HM Coastguard are urging boaters to use this simple online form to give feedback and report their experiences on HM Coastguard MSI VHF weather broadcasts.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is responsible in the UK for broadcasting Maritime Safety Information (MSI).

MSI, which includes both weather information and navigational warnings, is broadcast on VHF by HM Coastguard every three hours. In September 2017, HM Coastguard started using VHF channels 62, 63 or 64 to broadcast MSI.

The RYA’s MSI VHF Weather Report Feedback Form is quick and easy to complete and enables boaters to report their experiences. When collated, this useful information will give the RYA and HM Coastguard valuable feedback on the overall state of the MSI broadcast.

Please use the online form at www.rya.org.uk/go/msi-vhf-feedback to report your experiences to the RYA.
