Red Sea: SV Simba Found on Reef and Captain Missing
SV Simba, a Nauticat 44, owned and skippered by Colin Finnie, has been found wrecked on a reef in the Red Sea near Marsa Alam. Colin was on passage to Port Ghalib in Egypt and was not on board.

On December 13, 2019, at approximately 1400 hrs Eastern Time, Boatwatch.org was advised the SV Simba was overdue.
A search was initiated and on December 21, 2019 – Boatwatch.org reported that Coast Guard officials were continuing the search for the solo captain, Colin Finnie.
The search resulted in locating SV Simba (a 1999 Nauticat Motorsailer, 44 feet in length) dry on a reef near Marsa Alam. Sadly, Colin was not on board.
