Update on waiting times for the Panama Canal Transit season 2008-2009
Up to now, transit delays have not been excessive.
Yachts which arrived early last week are scheduled for passage early/mid this week.
It seems that the number of arriving yachts is still on the low side. Therefore, as it is not known in advance how many yachts will arrive over the coming weeks and months it is difficult to predict waiting times.
However, anticipating last year’s volume, it is expected that the waiting time will increase considerably.
