In order to facilitate clearance, Gibraltar Customs are now asking for skippers to provide information on Crew, Passengers and Stores by way of an e-declaration before the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of the vessel in Gibraltar. This is in line with international conventions and best practice.

If you expect to return to Gibraltar several times or more, it is possible to register your details online and save the Vessel details and/or Crew and Passengers details and to reuse the data to create a new Vessel Pre-arrival Notification each time.

The e-declaration has 6 steps:

Step 1: Vessel Details.

Entering vessel information will facilitate the processing of your documents by the authorities prior to the arrival of the vessel in the port.

Step 2: Voyage Details.

Entering the details of your voyage will facilitate the processing of your documents by the authorities.

Step 3: Health Protection Details.

Entering the details of the health on board your vessel (illness, accidents etc) prior to the arrival in the port will facilitate the immediate support from the Health Authorities, as required.

Step 4: Crew and Passenger Details.

Entering the details of crew members and passengers on board will facilitate the processing of your personal documents by the authorities prior to the arrival of the vessel.

Step 5: Stores and Effects Details.

Entering the details of stores, animals and vehicles that need to be declared to Customs will speed up the clearance process.

Step 6: Confirm and Submit the Notification.
