Fiji: Notification of Arrival

It must be stressed that the 48-hour pre-arrival notice required by the Authorities in Fiji must be adhered to. Failure to do this is likely to result in a substantial fine or even imprisonment.

Lack of access to the internet is not regarded as a valid excuse and even if forced to call there due to sail or engine repairs, the reasons will be thoroughly checked.

Failure by some ‘yachties’ to stick to these very clear rules, causes problems for all cruisers.
