Dockwise Yacht Transport Offers Safe Passage from Oman to the Med
Published 16 years ago, updated 6 years ago
For owners of cruising yachts wishing to return to the Med safely, Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) is offering a sailing from Oman to Genoa aboard its super ship Yacht Express when it returns from its inaugural trip to the Persian Gulf next spring. The largest vessel of its kind in the world at 685.7 feet (209 metres), Yacht Express features the unique semi-submersible dock bay only offered by DYT yacht carriers. It allows yachts of any size to be safely and easily floated on and off as cargo.
While some boats would normally make the trip on their own or in a convoy, DYT would like to make you aware that they have availability on this trip. If there is enough demand created, they may be able to add this route to their regular schedules in the years to come.
Next March, the Yacht Express will deliver a shipload of private luxury yachts to the United Arab Emirates in time for the Dubai International Boat Show and the inaugural Abu Dhabi Yacht Show. It will return to the Mediterranean in early April, stopping first in the Middle Eastern country of Oman on the Arabian Peninsula and continuing through the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea on its way to the Suez Canal.
