SailClear is an online service through which pleasure craft skippers can submit electronic Customs declaration prior to arrival in countries where the system is in operational. Some countries make this a mandatory requirement (Bermuda for example). Until now this has been a free service and operates better in some countries than others.

However, from 1 May 2024, an annual subscription fee is being introduced.

In a media release announcing the new subscription fee, the Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council (CCLEC) said “this new small investment will ensure the sustainability of the system and unlocks seamless customs clearance across diverse ports.”

The annual subscription fee has been set at US$25 and provides unlimited applications through the year across:

  • Anguilla
  • Barbados
  • Belize
  • Bermuda
  • British Virgin Islands
  • Cayman Islands
  • Curacao
  • Dominica
  • Dominican Republic
  • Grenada
  • Montserrat
  • Saint Lucia
  • Saint Kitts and Nevis
  • Saint Vincent & The Grenadines
  • Turks and Caicos Islands

“Your commitment to SailClear not only guarantees unparalleled convenience, but also supports the CCLEC Team’s efforts to:

  • Maintain high standards
  • Invest in cutting-edge technologies
  • Expand our services to new horizons.

“We hope sailors will see it as an investment in the smoothness of maritime journeys in the Caribbean”, said the CCLEC.
