Following on from the first “Trinidad and Tobago” webinar last month, the Seven Seas Cruising Association have announced the next webinar in the series aimed to assist cruisers in getting a better picture of the state of cruising right now in the Atlantic and Caribbean Islands.
The webinar is free to all, with pre-registration required.
Speakers include:
Jose Mendez (Marina Pescarderia, Puerto Rico)
Jose was instrumental in assisting vessels heading home to the US from the Virgin Islands in May and April. He worked closely with the Puerto Rico authorities, assisted vessels in transit and provided key information to Noonsite as the pandemic spread. See his extensive resume in the Zoom invitation.
Agustin Martin (Canary Islands/Regional SSCA CS Host for Europe)
Cruisers know to contact Agustin for a warm welcome to the Canary Islands as well as the support he provides to the yachting community. He is the 2019 SSCA Cruising Host of the Year, being awarded the Bateman CSH Award in November 2019 in St. Augustine, Florida at the SSCA GAM. A professional on maritime issues, he is certainly qualified to discuss the COVID situation there in the Canaries in reference to cruising and other locations. A major resource for all of us! SSCA appreciates the efforts he has made for years to help others.
Russ Goedjen (Owner/Manager Shelter Bay Marina, Panama)
Founding member of the Pedro Miguel Boat Club in the 1987 Panama Canal reorganization, Pedro Miguel became one of the premier stops for cruisers for the next 20 years. Russ has been a Sailor and delivery Captain for 50 years. He’s also the founding member of the South Pacific Sailing Association, founder of the Yachts and Marinas Committee of the Panamanian Maritime Chamber of Commerce, founder and part owner of Shelter Bay Marina in Limon Bay Panama, and founder of Care Free Boat Club of Panama.
