Head Home from the Caribbean in May 2020

World Cruising Club’s twin rallies – ARC USA and ARC Europe, head away from Nanny Cay, Tortola BVI in early May at the close of the Caribbean cruising season. These fun, passage-making rallies have routes to Florida and to Bermuda, from where the rallies split, with routes onto the Chesapeake Bay and Europe. Spaces are limited, and as the routes are popular with returning ARC sailors registering early is recommended.

Seminars and Boat Shows in 2020

Meet the ARC team and help prepare fully for your ocean adventure at one of their regular seminars and presentations in 2020. The ARC will be hosting events in Düsseldorf, at Boot in January, and at HISWA in Amsterdam in March. The busy seminar program sees weekend events in London, UK (14/15 March), Oslo, Norway (21/22 March) and Annapolis MD, USA (28/29 March). The seminars cover topics aimed at getting boats and crew “ocean ready” and include ocean weather and routing, communications at sea, planning your provisioning, and boat preparations for bluewater cruisers.

WCCs safety equipment partners, Ocean Safety, will be hosting a free-to-attend Servicing and Safety Workshop over the weekend of the 15th and 16th February between 10am – 4pm, at their base at Saxon Wharf, Southampton, UK.

During the weekend there is the option to book in and observe your own liferaft and lifejackets being opened and inflated, then to leave your product for servicing and repacking. The Ocean Safety team will also run a series of product demonstrations, including liferaft inflation, practical flare training and showcasing products from their Jon Buoy range.

Throughout the weekend their team of experts will be on hand to discuss any items from their comprehensive range of marine safety products and your own individual safety requirements.
