30MILES project: Small ports on the eastern Gulf of Finland are developing fast
March 2017: The 30MILES international cooperation project was established to develop small ports on the eastern Gulf of Finland, and six Finnish and six Estonian small ports are participating in it.

The objective of the project is to harmonise the level of services, security and convenience of use of the ports. The outcome of the 30MILES project will be a ring of quality small ports every 30 miles apart around the Gulf of Finland.
The deadline for completion of the project is May 2018.
Estonia
In Eisma harbour, a floating jetty and a new recreational area with a sauna, toilet, shower and rest area, barbecue and picnic area, and terrace will be established. The range of Wi-Fi access will be expanded and an online weather station will be built.
In Kelnase harbour, a new online weather station and website will be completed.
Leppneeme harbour will have a new online weather station and website.
In Narva harbour, a floating jetty will be completed, and security equipment and signs will be improved.
In Narva-Jõesuu harbour, new water, electricity and wastewater treatment systems and a petrol station will be established. The harbour will be dredged. A new harbour building together with toilets, a shower and sauna will be built. Guests will be provided with Wi-Fi access and the use of a washing machine. Storage for security equipment will be created. New entry signs will be put up and the website of the harbour will be improved.
In Tallinn Seaplane Harbour, a children’s playground and picnic area as well as a wastewater treatment system will be completed. A washing machine and dryer and new interior signage will be added.
Finland
In Hamina Tervasaari Port, the pier and green areas are being developed, transport options will be improved, a new waste treatment system will be built and entry signs will be changed.
In Kotka Old Port, a new port area will be completed, the pier will be reconstructed, and water and wastewater treatment will be improved.
In Loviisa Laivasilta Guest Harbour, the pier will be reconstructed, entry signs will be improved, new green areas will be developed, car parking areas will be laid out and new facilities for fuelling and car rent will be created.
In Porvoo Guest Harbour, a new service area, footpaths, green areas, a car park and piers will be established. A new energy efficient lighting solution will be installed, signage will be added and a virtual information centre will be established.
In Pyhtää Keihässalmi harbour, 24-hour toilets and shower will be built and a new promenade along the waterfront will be constructed and landscaped.
In Virolahti Klamila harbour, a safer pier is being developed, and a new lighting solution will be installed. A caravan park, a water and wastewater treatment system and a petrol station will be built.
