We are a family of three from Barcelona (Spain): Joan, Esther and Gerard our son, who was 13 years old at the start of our trip but is now back in Barcelona getting ready for University. Our boat is a Columbia 50, a classic plastic from 1968 built in California. We left Barcelona at the start of October 2017, heading to Graciosa in the Canaries for an Atlantic crossing at the end of that year. However, our plans were delayed for one year while we fixed problems on the boat and after finally crossing the Atlantic to Panama, we ending up in the COVID lock down there.
We are now in Tahiti and plan to spend one more year in Polynesia and then Fiji before heading more westwards.
