    Forgot to mention:
As I checked in Langkawi with next Port of Call in One 15 Puteri Marina Singapore, no Marina in between ( Penang, Pangkor, Dickson) ask me to check in again in case you only stay for 1 or 2 days. that saves you a lot of money and time as you just check in with the Marina.

I arrived at Pangkor Marina at 7PM. Great help by the Marina team. Friendly welcome. Access through the channel and turn 90 Deg to Starboard right after the Buoy. Channel depth around 3mtr in low tide.
Marina cost are very low. I paid 30 Euro for 2 days with a 47ft Cat incl. Electricity and water. Fuel can be bought at the nearby fuel station in jerry cans ( 42 euro cent/ ltr. Diesel). marina supply cost double if you order with the marina.
very good bread and ice cubes available at the marina office. Huge hard stand with many boats undergoing works.
Visit the Pangkor Island is a must. Many historical places and buildings to see. A half day taxi tour around with a stopp at the beautiful Emerald Beach cost about 30 Euro. The beach is also a hot spot for overnight Anchorage.
All in all, Pangkor is a very nice location and worth a stopp on the way N or down S.

For spare parts from the USA I highly recommend using Eric from http://www.global marine suppliers.com………..email eric@globalmarinesuppliers.com.

After] a bad lightening strike in Puteri Harbour in March last year and have seriously struggled to get replacement electronics . . . including specific things for example a 240v heating element for our hot water tank! . . . It was quite a large list in the end of 20+ separate items amounting to over $10,000 USD including a new Icom SSB and Garmin Radome and quite rightly Eric asked me for upfront money . . . . I had faith and made the transfer. From that point onwards Eric contacted me almost daily with updates or questions about my order and I know that in some cases he received items that were either wrong or damaged which he returned for replacement. He also asked me first before personally testing an Apple computer for me to make sure it worked as it should before repacking in the original box. You know I have in the past ordered things myself from the States and I can tell you the hassle of trying to return something that arrived broken and obtain a refund was not an easy nor pleasant experience! I cannot imagine the hassle and stress I would have had to go through had I ordered this list of 20+ things myself and some arriving, some not, some okay, some broken, some return and then the wait and the arguments about who’s fault it was and who should be liable? Eric assembled the complete order and boxed it into two boxes for me which were sent by DHL and arrived several days later in perfect condition and amazingly I even got an email from him telling me they were out for delivery here in Malaysia. The packing was a work of art as he had cello-taped, bubble wrapped and added empty boxes to fill gaps so that things couldn’t move around. The boxes were clearly and amply labelled “This Way Up”…….”Yacht in Transit”……..and consequently they sailed through Customs and arrived completely intact in a miraculous couple of days. I balked at [his commission] at first because I thought it sounded a lot but for the attention to detail, customer care and diligence and most importantly completely stress free experience it was money well spent and I would do it again in a heartbeat. In fact I will be doing it again . . . . I highly recommend and for what it’s worth personally endorse using Eric and Global [Marine] Suppliers”–Richard Houghton, s/v Por Dos
