The sailing directions in the print version are current and accurate and critical updates are available through the Waterway Guide App by looking on the map display for the relevant Cuban points of interest. This information is available free of charge.

The printed version of this guide is now the basis for a new digital version. Since 2019 there have been some major changes in Cuba, such as enhanced embargo rules by the USA, the pandemic and currency reform. As a result of these changes there have been some material differences in how visiting sailors are to conduct themselves, such as additional charges for random Covid testing and the requirement to pay for all entry fees and marina bills with credit cards.

The digital version is updated as soon as changes happen and there are new sections covering currency reform and how it affects visiting sailors, Starlink etc.

The digital platform is a revolutionary new format that is not PDF or E-book based, but can be used offline.
