Saint Martin (France) – Marigot Bay: Thieves Active Over Several Nights
Thieves have been active in Marigot Bay, Saint Martin, stealing a dinghy that was chain locked to the dinghy dock as well as boarding and taking items from several vessels in the bay, according to three separate reports lodged with the Caribbean Safety and Security Network (CSSN).

All three reports made to CSSN are summarised below. Two of the incidents involved unlocked catamarans and the burglaries occurred while the owners slept on board.

STOLEN ITEMS: 3D Tender model 300 SN# FR-DAL7005G02 / Tohatsu 18HP engine model MX18E2 SN# 039214 BX
SECURED: Locked
DETAILS:
A cable locked dinghy was stolen from the secure (ZMEL) section of the dinghy dock between Saturday night, 30 November, 2100HRS and Sunday, 1 December, 0100HRS. The cable was cut.
Reports were made to the Port Captain, Police and Marina.

A catamaran was moored in Marigot Bay and overnight while the owners slept their unlocked yacht was boarded. Thieves stole cash, a credit card, passports, boat papers, a computer and a watch. A police report was made.
