Martinique (France), St Pierre: Locked Dinghy Interfered with at Dinghy Dock

Cruisers securely locked their dinghy to the dinghy dock in St. Pierre on Martinique in the Caribbean and returned after a day ashore to find items stolen and the dinghy filled with water.

DETAILS:

Crew of a charter yacht locked their dinghy, dinghy engine and fuel tank to the dinghy dock at St. Pierre, Martinique and then spent the day ashore. When they returned they found 4 inches of water in the dinghy, the fuel tank disconnected from the engine and the gear shift broken off and missing. They reported the incident to their charter company.
