Bequia: Well Worth the Visit
We are now in Bequia and noticed that you don’t have many details on the website.

Arriving in Port Elizabeth you will be greeted by the usual guys selling lobster, fruit etc as well as moorings that are available. The anchorage is good and the holding has been good for us, but we were advised to put out extra chain which has worked well.
There is a cruisers net on VHF channel 68 every morning at 8 am that is run by Cheryl (AKA mama love or Miss J) from the Fig Tree restaurant, giving details on local events and arrivals and departures of cruisers along with the weather reports and any other business that is going on at the time.
The Fig Tree also provides free internet for visitors so cruisers meet there for the internet in the morning and drinks from lunchtime on. Cheryl also hosts a reading club every second Saturday for local and visiting children, which is always well attended and a great social event for the children.
Apart from the Fig Tree which is a great attraction, Bequia has a few good chandlers which have a full range of goods and the turtle sanctuary is well worth a visit just for the good work that is being done to save the local turtle population.
All in all well worth the visit.
