Anchoring in Cruz Bay

Cruz Bay has very limited anchoring and no public moorings. If no space is available it is possible to moor in the National Park (see the National Park website for more) and travel into Cruz Bay by taxi or dinghy.

Security

Noonsite has received reports of vandalism to dinghies at the dinghy dock in Cruz Bay, next to the ferry terminal.  The dinghies were locked, but appear to have been slashed.   Even dinghies that are locked to dinghy docks are not safe from thieves.  See USVI Security Reports for the latest reports and information from CSSN.

For clearing in, you can anchor for three hours just in the left-hand side of St. Cruz Bay.

G Gas can be filled in Cruz Bay. The business has a name (Tropical Gas, maybe) but everyone knows it as Elvis’. Easiest to ask for directions to Candy’s BBQ, her husband Elvis fills propane M-S 9-5 just beside the restaurant. It’s about a 10 min walk from the docks. (And Candy has the BEST BBQ on the island! One plate will fill 2 people.)
