Where is Tarbert?
Situated on the east coast of the Isle of Harris where the southern part of the island is almost separated from the northern part, Tarbert is a ferry terminal for Skye and North Uist.
Entrance Notes and Cautions for Tarbert:
Tarbert is a ferry terminal and as such no leisure vessel movements are permitted while the ferry is arriving or departing. Skippers must keep themselves informed of ferry times which are subject to change. Timetables are available at www.calmac.co.uk. There are notices to mariners also posted at the entrance to the ferry terminal office.
Cruiser Highlights for Tarbert
Tarbert pontoons are at the heart of the village with easy access to the Isle of Harris Distillery, Harris Tweed shop and other facilities in the village. Scalpay North Harbour is a quieter option but with great walks around the island.
