Koh Lipe Clearance for Yachts

This is a Port of Entry for Thailand.

See Thailand – Formalities, for full details of protocol, procedure and fees.

Note:  International clearance is only possible during the high season – from mid-October until mid-May, when ferries are running to and from the Malaysian island of Langkawi.

The clearance process here is reported to be pleasant with an abundance of smiling Thai officials and takes about an hour to complete.  Try and avoid the busy times when officials are processing ferry passengers from Langkawi.

Clearance fees must be paid at the ferry office, next to the main Immigration office.

Week day office hours (when clearance costs are cheaper) – Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:00.

Weekends, after hours and holidays are charged as overtime and more expensive.

For the latest costs from cruisers that have cleared in here – see Koh Lipe Comments (speech bubble icon under the Explore Port drop down).
