Liapari Marina operate a 60-ton slipway which can do haul outs on mono hulls. The bigger slipway that can cater for catamarans is not operational.

I would like to add some details about the facilities at Liapari
Liapari Island Resorts runs the two slipways. One carriage can take up to 200 tons, it is 11m long x 6m wide and has 11 heavy duty wheels each side of 1m spacing. It runs on 80kg railway line and hauled by a Hydraulic winch connected to a 4 cylinder Detroit Desiel engine.
A new timber constructed heavy frame which is removable has now been constructed to fit on top of this carriage to support catamaran with their hulls free for cleaning and painting under. The catamaran slides over the framework and come out in a level position.
As this is under the bridge deck its width is 2.6m wide with adjustable timbers on top to suit most catamaran up to 55′ and take approximate 20 tons. Any catamaran larger can go on the carriage and be positioned sideways with extra blocking on the rear hull. Recently a 58′ catamaran was hauled up this way ‘Downtime’ sides ways and was successful.
The second slipway is suited to monohull yachts and power boats with a width of up to 4m on the beam. This carriage will take up to 65 tons, the arms are adjustable with 4 adjust chain blocks each end. This slip is electric driven through 3 transmissions, there is a fully equipped workshop with several type skilled personnel available to hire if required.
The resort has 4 bungalows which guests can stay in at around $500.00 SBD per couple or $62.00 US$ with magnificent views of surrounding islands and reef. There is a Roundhouse that is used on evenings for Sundowner and on Sundays, a traditional BBQ pot luck can be arranged.
A new building is in the construction of new offices, storage and bar, and restaurant but not completed as yet.
