Customs Rules for Yachts Arriving/Departing Slovenia

Length of Stay:
EU regulations apply concerning temporary importation. See EU VAT page for more information.
Other Customs Information:
- Firearms must be declared on arrival and will be sealed and checked again when leaving.
- Slovenia allows free movement of goods within the European Union, except tobacco products and alcoholic beverages, which are subject to restrictions.
- EU Member State citizens can bring cash into Slovenia without restrictions, while foreign citizens can bring up to 10,000 Euros, with larger amounts requiring declaration to customs officials.
- Radio equipment must be declared and an operator’s permit shown.
- Yachts left unattended for longer periods, such as for wintering, will be bonded by Customs.
