Port of Singapore - Marine Supplies
Although there is not one chandlery with a wide selection of goods, most items are available somewhere in Singapore and many shops dealing in marine equipment, such as outboard engines or inflatable tenders, often also stock spares. Some hardware stores and commercial ships chandlers stock stainless steel nuts, bolts and rigging. Radio equipment is also available and the prices are very competitive. For any duty-free shopping one should look out for the Good Retailer Scheme emblem (red decal with the white lion).
To take advantage of the duty-free option, (it only applies to international yachts), it is necessary to have a boat stamp, preferably with a picture, and also the boat registration document. It only applies to commercial suppliers (not supermarkets etc.).

Just a word about Keppel Bay Marina. We have stayed there for about 10 days. It’s conveniently located in the centre of town and the berthing is excellent. The marina is well kept and extremely secure. However, there are NO facilities — no laundry (can’t even give laundry at the office to be sent outside and the first laundromat is miles away.
It’s a good 30 min walk to the first store, which is a large shopping mall but the marina provides no shuttle service. You have to call a cab. Same thing for catching a bus or subway — call a cab. No swimming pool. There are a cafe and restaurant (food so-so), but that’s it. A bit disappointing. Raffles and One Degree 15 marinas seem to be better appointed and far less expensive.
Hello Noonsite,
We have just arrived in Singapore and staying at Keppel Bay Marina. We have been fortunate to come across an excellent local importer of selected French wines. His prices are quite reasonable. His selection is limited but good quality. He offers one free bottle for each purchase of 6 bottles. Plus, he delivers to your boat. His contact info is Fabrice Delancé – http://www.fdh.com.sg. Check him out.
