Boqueron - Docking

Select your download option below

This anchorage offers good holding in 12-20 feet and is well protected from all winds except SSW through NW.

There are two entry points into Boqueron Bay: Canal Sur to the south, and Canal Norte to the north. A flashing green light marks the deeper southern (Canal Sur) passage, and once you have cleared this, you can proceed into Boqueron Bay.

There is a dinghy dock here. Most facilities are available (laundromat, small grocery store, propane refill). The Club Nautico no longer has fuel, but it’s possible to beach your dinghy just south of the marina and walk across the road to the gas station to get your diesel.

    1. The dinghy dock apparently has been rebuilt as there is nothing wrong with it.

    2. The idiot story about Eddie is totally absurd and apparently written by someone who has a problem with folk other than white. Eddie did drive over something, but it was not a foot, but rather a slipper which had been dropped.

The one who attacked was the idiot cruiser who did indeed grab Eddie by the throat. Eddie requested that he slow down on his profanities and calm down… Some folk are better off staying at home.

Dinghy dock has been condemned for safety issues but still in use.
Beware of a man named Eddie offering car service, he is volatile. In a pick up from San Juan airport, Eddie pulled away while I was only half in the car, Running over a foot and pushing me to the curb.

This was immediately followed by Eddie attacking my husband, strangling him. We got our luggage away and took an official cab, losing the money we had prepaid rather than trust Eddie’s bizarre behaviour.

Car rental is available in Mayaguez with Boqueron pick up if rental is three days.
There is no fuel available at Club Nautico.
