Lifou Island (We) - Docking

Yachts need to clear into Noumea before coming to Lifou and should contact the Marina Manager (Capitaine de Port) on arrival to arrange berthing inside the small marina.

The marina at Port We is very sheltered.  All vessels should call ahead on VHF  Channel 67 to alert staff so they can lend a hand with lines and give instructions on where to berth.

There are also several protected anchorages on the north and west coasts of the island.

We (pronounced Way) is not a port of entry or clearance and yachts may not stop there or anchor anywhere until after clearance in Noumea. Special exceptions can be made for rallies – like the Australian https://www.downunderrally.com/ and the http://www.islandcruising.nz Rally.
