The “Zone Industrielle” of “Kaweni” five minutes by car from Mamoudzou (on Grande-Terre) is stocked up if you know where to go. Get a chart from the Tourist office at the ferry terminal when you get off the ferry from Dzaoudzi to save time. Welders, electricians, hydraulic repairs etc, it’s all here, at a price.

The yacht club can also organize to have your boat dry out on the wall outside their shed. The bottom is firm and during spring tides boats up to 80 ft length and 2.2m draught can clean their bottoms, repaint or fix any other repair. It is not recommended to have your boat lifted out as some did and then the crane broke down leaving them stranded for several months.
