- March 2022: Biosecurity updated with impending opening on 1 April.
- November 2021: Langkawi easing of restrictions for air travelers added to Covid protocols.
- July 2021: Covid protocols updated with 14-day quarantine.
- May 2021: Biosecurity and Covid protocols updated.
- March 17, 2020: Notification that all ports are closed to vessels including private boats/yachts from March 18 to March 31. Received from Rachel Robertson of Seaspray Services on Langkawi.
- March 2020: Sarawak coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions added to biosecurity. Information passed on by Jamie of Follow the Boat, from a press release by the Sarawak Government.
- November 2019: Sabah advisory from IMB added to security section.
- August 2019: Teluk Ewa removed from Ports of Entry list as it is a cement port and does not accept yachts or recreational vessels.
- April 2019: Note added to Customs that Langkawi Customs no longer check alcohol stores. Information from Bob Mott.
March 2019: Info about national parks restrictions updated with info from Rick Blackie at Sutera Harbor Marina. - January 2019: Link to a report on the support offered by ESSCOM added from information supplied by Alex Noren.
