Trieste - Docking
Marina near the old harbour is subject to bad surge and exposed to the Bora.
Berth in Marina San Giusto or, leave the marina to starboard and berth in Bacino Sacchette, at one of the two yacht clubs. Prior permission should be obtained first.
As an alternative to Trieste, the port of Monfalcone, 10 miles north, has several marinas, or Muggia/San Rocco, just 2 miles south, across the bay.
The inner harbour and the marina are both well sheltered but the bora can blow strongly here.
