    Bo Mogensen says:

    Aasiaat – general info
Due global warming the ice season are longer like from april to january.
In Aasiaat there is an airfield with daily connections to Kangerlussuaq/Copenhagen or the rest of Greenland.
There is a yard, often used by sailors during the winter either when they travel home or when they are checking the boat.
Some sailors winter in the sea around the city, and it is possible if you are living in the boat.
Aasiaat normally has cargo ships all year except for the tiny season february/march where there might be ice.
