Description:

Located halfway between Pilos and Katakolon in the SW Peloponnese, this port makes a useful stop on this long stretch of coastline.

The extension of the western breakwater about five years ago to the NE has improved the shelter here in most weather conditions. However, there is damage where the old and new breakwater join, meaning in strong NW/W winds the harbour becomes untenable (according to local sailors).

The pleasant town is a short walk up the hill.

Position:

37° 15.43’N, 21° 39.87’E (harbour)
