St Tropez - Docking
Call the Harbourmaster on arrival on VHF channel 09 for instructions on berthing.
It is advised to avoid arriving between 11 am and 12:30 and 17:30 to 18:30 as the harbor is particularly busy then, but at any time, take care as the entrance is narrow.
The arrivals pontoon is at the entrance to the Vieux Port, in front of the capitainerie.
During the summer, do not be surprised if no place is available in the old port if your yacht is less than 22m. Advance booking is essential.
There are several alternatives to the marina at St Tropez itself, especially if any repairs or nautical hardware are required. Port Grimaud with the adjacent Port Cogolin is both close by.
Anchorages
In settled weather, anchor west of the harbor entrance in 5 to 25m in good holding (mud and weed).
There is also a good, quiet anchorage in Bay de Canebiers (about 3km east of the port). Anchor west of rocks “La Croisette”. There are a pleasant sandy beach and good walks in the nature reserve here.
