Vis is now an established port of call for the Charter Fleets. The advice to arrive early holds true. There are mooring buoys to the east of the harbour and the Town Quay fills up in the afternoon.
The bay to the north west side of town, with a small boatyard at the end, has a series of maybe 20 buoys on its south shore. Beware. It is where flotilla of Charter Boats moor. You might end up partying the night away. Anchoring on lines ashore on the north side will have the same result as they infest that shore too.
Vis is a nice, fairly quiet town, despite the charter fleets, plenty of restaurants, worth an overnight stop if you have time to kill.

First time back to Vis in 11 years. You cannot reserve a spot on the wall, but generally if you are in by 2 you should be ok. There are now lots of moorings around as well.
