I have been in Lanzarote from Sept 2016 to July 2021. After one year in Marina Rubicon, a picturesque touristic marina – with some ongoing strange behaviour of the manager to me – I changed to Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife, the by far most sheltered marina in the Canaries, being situated behind a reef (FR recife, ES arrecife). You come in after a long way from the commercial port. No ocean swell can reach the marina basin, only wind sea.
Tidy marina, berths of all sizes, friendly, helpful and competent personal there. Reasonable rates, technical support is good there (and the related Marina Puerto Calero). Equipment, berths etc. in very good shape. A modern, not too stylish marina with a lot of shops and restaurants just aside the berth’s, where people from Arrecife use to go for dinner and for a walk. The lively town of Arrecife is just a 5-10 minutes walk away. So you are not in an artificial ‘tourist place’ but in the middle of life in the Canaries!
Annoying sometimes are the cruising ships which stop in the commercial ports, and sometimes also the noise (called: music) from the gym, but much less as I have experienced that in a lot of other touristic, ‘chic’ and party-folks marinas, also the first mentioned. Has been ideal for leaving my ship for long months over a four years period. Coming back to Lanzarote I’ll go to Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife again!

Like the others already said. The Marina and the staff is perfect. We’ve been there in March 2019 for a couple of days. All is in perfect shape an the pricing is very fair (40,00€ / Day for 54 feet, all inclusive.). The chandlery in the Marina is worth to mention. The pricing is also fair! Like the prices you’ll find in the online stores and Jimmy, the guy how runs it, is friendly and likes to help.

FYI, went to the Disa plant in Arrecife today, and the guy in the front office said unequivocally that propane filling is not possible anywhere on the island, due to “security” – no explanation given

If you’re going to lift out, then Marina Lanzarote really should be your first choice in the Canary Islands. More info here: http://sailingtheatlantic.com/boat_lift_marina_lanzarote.html or on their facebook page.

Correction on the restaurant for the best tapas: the name of the restaurant is Tasca La Raspa.

We stayed in Arrecife during September of 2017. The marina was very nice, well kept, and security was good (locking gates on each pontoon.) Slips were floating finger docks with electrical and water hookups. The bathrooms were nice and updated. They had 2 washing machines and one dryer.

There are many shopping stores and several restaurants within the marina itself. The Asian restaurant had the best deal at happy hour each day – 2.50 euros for a large beer. There was a Dino and Mercadona supermarket around a 20-minute walk from the marina. Both supermarkets offered good prices and deals for stocking up for longer voyages.

We were recommended to go to La Tasca (or Tascana – something like that) for the best tapas. It is right along the large lagoon in town where all the little boats are kept. Beautiful view and excellent tapas.

The volcano bus day tour was a good way to see some of the island – particularly the volcanic rock. If you’re wanting to ride a camel, this is the place to do it – you get a fairly decent camel ride (around 20 minutes) up and around some of the volcanic area. Get one of the camel guides to snap a photo of you on the camel.

The marine store in the marina was very useful. The guy there spoke very good English, German, Spanish, and went out of his way to try and get anything we needed.

I visited Marina Lanzarote from Sept 29 to Oct 18, 2016. Quite a nice new marina.
Personnel is always available and smiling.
There are only 2 washing machines which can be a problem but, with patience…
I had a technical problem with my autopilot and the “so-called” Raymarine agent did not finish the repairs.

Please use the services of Jean-Michel ALLIOT, known by all technical marineros. He is efficient, cheap and available on phone and email.

We visited Marina Lanzarote (Arrecife) in March/April 2016. A clean, well-maintained marina with friendly staff. Restaurants and a little supermarket are nearby. Good price. 11m for around €16,- (10% off because of our toerzeilers membership). Also near the airport (by buss) where you can easily pick up a cheap rental car to explore the island.

Have been their several weeks now – staff really helpful, excellent price compared to other marinas on the island, hot water and excellent showers, gates locked overnight, shops and restaurants at end of pontoons and main town and airport very close.

Posted on behalf of Pippy Buchanan:
This new marina had its official opening on Saturday 18 October. However, works are still in progress and showers still cold or lukewarm if you are lucky. It will be a very nice marina once it is finished, with modern new facilities. Staff are friendly and very helpful and the facilities are excellent but will be better once the tenants move into the spaces available to provide services.

The harbour is very sheltered and the town provides extremely good provisioning and shopping. The town chandlery is old fashioned with all products locked away behind the counter and limited English is spoken. We are enjoying our stay here.

The new Marina is now (Oct 19 2014) in function and can receive yachts of over 30 meter. Staff is friendly and helpful. Docking at floating pontoons with “finger” pontoons between boats. Very nice Marina 10 minutes walk from Arrecife centre.
