San Sebastian de La Gomera - Clearance
San Sebastian Clearance Notes
See Canary Islands Formalities for full details of clearing into and out of the country.
International Clearance:
It should be noted that San Sebastian is not an official port of entry/exit [frontier port] and therefore cannot provide an official exit stamp from the Canaries. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the nearest port offering official clearance. However departure clearance is not mandatory, so if the skipper is happy to just have a passport stamp from the marina and marina receipts to prove last port (rather than an official exit zarpe), then this port can be used for last exit from the Canaries.
Domestic Clearance:
After having docked the boat in the marina, either at the receiving dock or in an empty slip, the captain should report during office hours to the marina office. The marina office can be found on the first floor of the Service Building (Harbour Master´s Office), west of the marina.
Note:
A 72-hour weather report is displayed daily on the noticeboard outside the marina office.

Courtesy Flag Discounts
YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Very nice marina in the center of the small city of San Sebastian. We paid 27,8€ per day for 15 days with a 5% discount for 55,93m2 for all taxes included.
If you want to go for anchorage for 1 or 2 days they will add these extra days for free.
Before entering the marina you must call the Traffic Control at channel 12 or 16 and ask permission to go in and after you follow the yellow buoys.
The WIFI is not great but you have good ones outside the closer bars and restaurants.
Lovely marina, exceptionally friendly staff. During high season around November advance reservation especially for yachts larger than 10m is highly recommended. And for Catamarans even more, as space is limited.
My recommendation for any yacht and boat works is Darrin Lee. Heś originally from UK so English is not a problem at all and he knows a lot.

Price update (July 2018):
– 0.416€/sqm (we can get a discount on this only)
– EDR tax: 0.0484€/sqm
– Motor tax: 0.0255€/sqm
Discounts are:
5% for prepayment of 15days – 10% for 1 month – 15% for 2 months – 20% for 3 months – 30% for 6 months and 35% for a year.
Wifi doesn’t work great so it’s free.
The marina changed recently their discount/rebate system: 5% for one week is no more.
5% for 2 weeks (instead of 10%). 10% for a month (instead of 15%). And so on.
That’s too bad.
Still, my favourite marina in the Canarias though.
